Compare the Astro A50 X LIGHTSPEED and G733 on price, comfort, and wireless design to decide which headset fits your gaming setup and budget.
Quick answer
Choose the Astro A50 X LIGHTSPEED if you want premium wireless audio and can stretch your budget; pick the G733 if you want a lightweight, comfortable headset at a much lower price.
Price and positioning: flagship vs best-selling value
The A50 X LIGHTSPEED is priced at USD 243.99, while the G733 costs USD 99.19. That gap reflects two different approaches: the A50 X is positioned as a premium wireless headset, while the G733 is a best-selling lightweight option. Neither catalog listing specifies battery life or microphone pickup patterns, so treat those as open questions rather than assumed advantages.
Comfort and fit: lightweight vs over-ear
The G733 is described as lightweight with an adjustable fit, which suits long sessions where weight matters. The A50 X is a comfortable over-ear design, but its weight is not listed, so try it if you prioritize premium materials over a featherweight feel.
Connectivity and setup: what the listings do and do not say
The A50 X uses LIGHTSPEED wireless for low-latency connectivity. The G733 also uses wireless audio technology, but the catalog does not specify whether either headset includes a base station or a USB dongle. Check the box contents before buying if your PC and console setup depends on a particular connection method.
Key trade-offs to weigh
- Price vs premium audio: The A50 X costs more than twice as much as the G733. Choose the A50 X only if premium wireless performance is worth the higher spend; otherwise the G733 leaves budget for other gear. Set a hard budget before comparing features.
- Weight vs flagship feel: The G733 is explicitly lightweight, while the A50 X is a comfortable over-ear design without a listed weight. If you play for many hours, favor the G733; if you want a more substantial headset, the A50 X is the fit.
- Connection method: Both are wireless, but the listings do not confirm base station or dongle contents. Verify the package details for your PC or console before ordering. Confirm box contents if your setup relies on a specific connection type.
