Learn to pair your Logitech Signature M650 with up to three devices using Bluetooth or the USB receiver, and switch between them with the Easy-Switch button.
Quick answer
Pair your Signature M650 with up to three devices using Bluetooth or the included USB receiver, then press the Easy-Switch button to switch between them instantly.
Why pair multiple devices?
If you work across a laptop, desktop, and tablet, moving between them often means unplugging and reconnecting a mouse. The Signature M650 solves this by letting you pair up to three devices and switch with one button press.
The mouse uses Logitech's Easy-Switch technology, so you can jump from a work laptop to a personal tablet without touching cables or settings.
Bluetooth vs. USB receiver: which to use?
Bluetooth is convenient for devices without USB-A ports, like tablets and ultra-thin laptops. The USB receiver is a reliable fallback for desktops or older computers that don't support Bluetooth well.
You can mix both: pair one device via Bluetooth and another via the receiver, giving you flexibility without extra hardware.
Step-by-step pairing and switching guide
- Step 1: Prepare your mouse: Insert the included AA battery (or ensure it's charged) and turn the mouse on using the power switch at the bottom. Move the mouse so it wakes up. Check that the power switch is on and the battery is fresh before pairing.
- Step 2: Pair via Bluetooth: Press and hold the Easy-Switch button (the oval button on the top) for 3 seconds until the LED blinks rapidly. On your computer, open Bluetooth settings, select 'Add Bluetooth or other device,' and choose 'Logitech M650' from the list. Make sure the LED is blinking fast; a slow blink means the mouse is already paired to that channel.
- Step 3: Pair via USB receiver: Plug the included Logitech USB receiver into a USB-A port on your computer. The mouse should connect automatically. If not, press the Easy-Switch button to cycle to the channel that corresponds to the receiver (usually channel 1). If the mouse doesn't connect, try a different USB port or use the Logi Options+ software to re-pair.
- Step 4: Pair additional devices: Repeat Step 2 or 3 for each new device, but assign each to a different Easy-Switch channel (1, 2, or 3). For example, use channel 1 for your laptop via Bluetooth, channel 2 for your desktop via receiver, and channel 3 for your tablet via Bluetooth. Remember which device is on which channel; you can label them in Logi Options+ for clarity.
- Step 5: Switch between devices: Press the Easy-Switch button to cycle through channels 1, 2, and 3. The LED will show the current channel. Release the button when you reach the device you want to use. Switching is instant, but make sure the target device is on and within Bluetooth range (about 10 meters).
- Step 6: Optional: Enable Logitech Flow: If you have Logi Options+ installed, enable Logitech Flow to move the cursor across screens of different computers, even copying and pasting text and files. This works when the mouse is paired to multiple computers on the same network. Flow works best when both computers are on the same Wi-Fi network and Logi Options+ is running.
